How To MBA
I am an Online English Language teacher and I specialize in teaching more advanced students, students looking to go into business programs and other graduate programs usually in Western English-Speaking Countries. I speak with many business students, and I am amazed by the number that plan to go directly from their undergraduate business degree directly to their MBA. I happen to think this is a big mistake.
I don’t have an MBA
First off, full disclosure, I don’t have an MBA, I have something between a bachelor’s degree and an MBA, it’s called a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from a leading Canadian University, it makes up about 1/3 (the core subjects of that university’s MBA Program.) It was an online program that was designed to get you into their on-campus MBA program with an advance standing and if your grades were high enough, you did not have to write a GMAT. In fact, my undergrad degree is not even a business degree, but I have worked in business since graduating in 1992. Life happened, and I was never able to go and sit in the classroom in another province to complete this degree, but the certification was very beneficial to my career for many years.
