I have done a few of these, nothing is $100 for an hour though. I have done Cambly for 6 years, Unless you teach overnight from an American Timezone, When Most of Asia is Awake, your mostly get about 30 minutes for every priority hour you book. I find that earning $100 on here takes me between 15 - 18 hours so from a North American standpoint, only a little over $5USD/hour.

Just like VIP kid and many of the very well paying ESL platforms that cater to China, You have to commit minimum hours in prime time slots every week, and again for those of us in US time zones, that is 3am -7am daily.

Though not really scaleable and it takes some effort to get up and running, I run a resale clothing business, that chuns $1500 - $2500/month selling on two platforms, eBay and Poshmark. Note that this is gross sales not profit. It also took about a year to get things running with consistent daily sales.
