I think a great start would be a tax on any executive, public or private that gets excessive compensation. Even back in the 1980's CEO's executives only received 40-50 times the average wages but we are now up to 100's and sometimes over 1000 of times the average employee's earnings. I think a great solution would be that any amount over say 50 times average earnings, and I think that is still pretty excessive, should be taxed at 100 percent no exemptions and no write-offs, there should be no incentive to pay these ludicrous bonuses, nobody is ever that good at what they do.

Under this scenario, the only way that these people get an increase in wage is if they lift the average wage of their employees, thus everyone gets a lift in salary.

Change the bonus package from an efficiency model to a more balanced model that includes the overall welfare of the average employee.
