Mental Health Supports Lacking for My School-Aged Son
Last year in June of 2020, we had finally had it with our neighbors who were challenging to live next to, to say the least. This family of 9, including adult children still living at home, had finally brought us to our breaking point, in no part less because we were now confined to home 24/7 due to the pandemic restrictions and working from home. While I respect that they are an immigrant family trying to make things work by working hard, with the number of people in the home there is constant commotion almost 24 hours a day, people coming and going to work, every adult seems to work a different shift. They also have two husky dogs that on the occasion that they are all away from the house, which often happens overnight, the dogs start to howl and bark. Our small city only has animal control officers on staff up until about 9 PM Monday to Friday. We have called the police, but there is nothing that they seem willing to do if nobody answers the door because nobody is home. We couldn’t even park on our street as this family monopolized the street with up to 14 vehicles, not all of which were driveable at any given time.
