My version of the gig economy was working a second job delivering pizza for Domino's. Paid on a per delivery basis, it was a gig, no hourly wage or standby pay, only per delivery plus tips if any were given. Some nights I walked out with $300, and some with $20, and on the $20 night, I worked for about 3.25/hour, when the minimum wage was now up to about $7.00/hour.
