You are so right, the Idea of passive income gets a bad rap. Just like the FIRE movement, its often misunderstood, people think that people in the FIRE movement do no work after they retire. Rather what they did in most cases was set up a bunch of passive income streams, they may have to spend a little time managing them from time to time, but they have income that allows them to do work of their choice, most do not sit back and do nothing.
